HCA chief executive Sir Bob Kerslake

Sir Bob Kerslake, chief executive of the Homes and Communities Agency, has announced the new body's senior structure.

Manchester City Council deputy chief executive Eamonn Boylan is one of a clutch of top council officials who have won senior posts. 

Mr Boylan will take the role of one of three corporate directors jobs with responsibility for new ventures and partnerships.

The other two corporate directors are Trevor Beattie, who will have responsibility for policy, strategy, performance and research and Richard Hill, who will oversee investment and renewal. Mr Beattie and Mr Hill are currently senior directors of English Partnerships and the Housing Corporation respectivley.

As well as Mr Boylan, Manchester also loses its director of housing Deborah McLaughlin, who becomes one of nine regional directors with responsibility for the north west.

David Curtis, who is currently director of development at Sheffield City Council, becomes regional director for Yorkshire and Humberside.

David Lunts, executive director for policy and partnerships at the Greater London Authority, takes over responsibility for the capital.

Sir Bob said: "The HCA has been structured to act as a bridge between national targets and local ambitions. Bringing together the best from the public and private sectors will enable the agency to provide direction and expertise from a national and regional perspective."
