NJC comes under scrutiny
With Local Government Employers (LGE) offering no pay rise this year, the National Joint Council (NJC) has come in for criticism. Union conferences over the summer were filled with talk of how the system was being undermined and, two months on, GMB general secretary Brian Strutton describes some of LGE’s behaviour as “appalling”.
