LGC are pleased to announce the launch of their 2008 annual Leadership conference held in centralLondononMonday 17th March 2008  followed that evening by the LGC Awards.

Leaders are at the frontline of dramatic change across local government and public services – new challenges and opportunities are at stake. With the huge emphasis on local government to work more widely and effectively in partnership to deliver greater outcomes with less budget - it is crucial to address how this will delivered and achieved through leadership.

Our popular annual event is well established, respected and attended, being widely regarded as a major date in the local government calendar. As well as addressing the major themes and policies impacting on leadership, innovative national case studies will explore leadership in practice and context – unpicking crisis and success factors. 

The conference promises to deliver an engaging, high quality national event for current and future leaders across local government, public services and key partners. It looks in detail at this complex area in the public sector arena and how this can deliver the outcomes, performance required of modern public services.
