Camden hit by funding error
Camden was left with a£9m shortfall after the Department for Communities & Local Government reversed its declaration that it was eligible for funding over the next three years.
Council chief executive Moira Gibb said: “We are extremely disappointed by this and we have asked to meet ministers.”
A DCLG spokeswoman admitted it made a mistake.
The news came as Camden became the first council to score top marks in all five aspects of its Audit Commission corporate assessment.
