"I am very excited at the prospect of chairing the Boundary Committee"
Max Caller
The Boundary Committee for England has a new chair.
He is former Haringey and Hackney LBC chief executive Max Caller. He was also the London regional returning officer for the 1999 European Parliament elections and has served as an elections observer abroad.
The committee is the statutory committee of the Electoral Commission responsible for defining boundaries for local elections and conducting reviews of local government areas.
Mr Caller said: "Having been involved in electoral administration for many years, I am very excited at the prospect of chairing the Boundary Committee. It has developed a reputation for fairness and professionalism and I aim to build on this in the future."
