The Automobile Association has called on Welsh councils to cut back roadside hedgerows to allow motorists to see traffic signs properly, the Western Mail reports (p7).

An AA spokeswoman said: 'The number of overgrown road signs this summer is verging on the ridiculous and councils must do more to improve visibility', the paper reports.
