Comparisons and information on funding available to Welsh local authorities have been supplied by the Welsh Office in a series of tables in response to questions from Labour MP Win Griffiths, and Plaid Cymru MP Elfyn Llwyd (WA 8 Feb col 328-337).

One table (col 328) shows the percentage change of funding (comprising revenue support grant, the distributable amount from non-domestic rates, and for 1996/97 grant under the council tax reduction scheme) to unitary authorities between 1995/96 and 1996/97 for each authority.

Exclusive of community care, authorities will receive 1% less in real terms. Including community care the funding increase shown is only 0.1% in real terms.
