Coventry City Council is being sued for £8.5m over its decision to ban the export of live calves from the city's airport, The Birmingham Post reports (p3).

Air freight firm Phoenix Aviation says it had an agreement with Coventry that it could fly out 3,000 calves a week. It claims it will lose millions of pounds unless the council lifts the ban, the paper reports.
