The total expenditure on the Department for Education's assisted places scheme in each year since 1988-89, and the total numbers of pupils assisted, were published by junior education minister Eric Forth in a table (col 410). Expenditure on the scheme totalled £92.8 million in 1992-93, with 28,674 pupils assisted.

Junior Home Office Minister Charles Wardle listed the 24 councils in England and Wales which have adopted a by law prohibiting the occupation of land within 300 yards of any dwelling house so as to cause injury, disturbance or annoyance to those living in the house.
