The Government should think again before introducing motorway charging according to a joint response to the Government's discussion document 'Paying for Better Motorways' from the ACC and AMA.

In the response they warn that a motorway charging policy should not be introduced without a coherent national transport policy covering not just motorways, but public transport, environmental concerns and the effect of motorway charging on the rest of the nation's roads.
