Up to 20 asylum seekers a day are taking advantage of airline price wars to fly into Stanstead from Prague, according to The Daily Telegraph (p2).

They are paying as little as£100 for the trip with Czech national carrier CSA.

They are swelling increasing numbers into Dover. The number of Czech asylum seekers in August was 255, compared with 512 for the whole of last year.

The Home Office said yesterday: 'We are talking to the Czech government to see if there is anything they can do.'
