British Airways has warned failure to build a fifth terminal at London's Heathrow airport could 'fundamentally damage' future prospects for the air carrier, the Financial Times reports (p5).
BA says its future competitiveness depends on plans to expand airport going ahead.
Local authorities in West London are opposed to the plan to build a new terminal at Heathrow. They say the extra traffic generated by the project will create an unacceptable noise nuisance.
A report on page 22 of The Daily Telegraph says 7,000 BA jobs depend on Heathrow's expansion.
