High winds and heavy rain are set to batter Britain again, Met Office

forecasters are warning.

A deepening Atlantic storm will hit parts of Britain later tonight

and tomorrow morning. Winds of up to 80 mph are expected around the

coasts of England and Wales, and in areas to the east of the

Pennines, with a risk of structural damage and travel disruption.

More heavy rain could increase the risk of flooding. The Met Office

and Environment Agency will be working together to monitor the effect

of the rain on river levels.
