The Leader of Pembrokeshire County Council, Councillor Maurice Hughes, has warmly welcomed the Best Value reporton the authority's Tourist Information Centres.

'The awarding of two stars is most commendable' said Councillor Hughes. 'It should be remembered that it is different from the five star system used for classifying hotels.

'Two stars is just one star away from excellent and our staff in the Tourist Information Centres should be proud of themselves.

'Of course there is always room for improvement as the County Council strives to develop all its services. I'm sure that at the next inspection the TIC employees will be aiming for that extra star.'
