Problems with housing that faced a woman Bsonian refugee who fled to Britain last year, are among the factors that contributed to her death by suicide, the Guardian reports (p1).

The woman, Lejla Ibrahimovic, is said to have come to the UK with a Muslim group Human Appeal and stayed in cramped private accommodation.

The article says that she applied to Birmingham city council for rehousing without success. It continues: 'The council says it has too many of its own homeless to offer accommodation to Bosnians.'
