A report by the Birmingham Education Commission is expected to be published today and recommend that between £200-500 million is spent on raising the standard of education and school buildings, the Birmingham Post reports (p5).

The paper says that the Commission worked on the lines of a Parliamentary Select Committee and was chaired by Professor Ted Wragg, director of education at Exeter University with more than a 100 witnesses giving evidence.
