A private member's Bill to allow the registration of births, death and still births in Welsh as well as in England yesterday completed its Lords stages without opposition.

Its sponsor, Lord Elis-Thomas, said no one had proposed any amendemnts during the Committee Stage of the Births and Deaths Registration (Amendemnt) Bill.
