In an exclusive, The Sun claims Tony Blair will dump the more left-wing members of his shadow cabinet if Labour wins the May 1 election (p1).

The paper claims to have a list of those earmarked for positions in a Labour cabinet.

John Prescott would be confirmed as deputy premier, Gordon Brown as chancellor, Robin Cook as foreign secretary and Jack Straw as home secretary.

But shadow cabinet members Clare Short and Michael Meacher would lose out on a place and shadow defence spokesman David Clarke and disabled spokesman David Clark would only get junior posts. Harriet Harman's future position was also in doubt.

Scottish secretary George Robertson is likely to become minister for Europe, a new post and another new minister will be created to deal with unemployment.
