Labour's education spokesman David Blunkett has complained to the Advertising Standards Authority and the Independent Television Commission about the government's £1.9m campaign to promote nursery vouchers, to be launched today, reports The Guardian (p6).

He said the advertising campaign was untruthful, misleading and political. Vouchers would land on doorsteps months before a general election.
