Bradley handed Standards Board report

  • Comment
Liverpool City Council leader Warren Bradley has received the Standards Board for England report into allegations he brought his office into disrepute.

Since the beginning of this year, the local government standards watchdog has been investigating reports that Cllr Bradley (Lib Dem) brought his office into disrepute and breached equality legislation.

He is alleged to have conspired against Jonathan Harborow, the former chief executive of the Liverpool Culture Company.

Former council leader Mike Storey has also received his copy of the linked Standards Board probe into allegations that he breached equalities legislation.

The company is responsible for the city’s year-long Capital of Culture programme of events.

A copy of the report has been sent to the council’s Labour group leader Joe Anderson, who reported Cllr Bradley (Lib Dem) to the board, and to Mr Harborrow - who resigned at the beginning of 2008 after being suspended for much of the second half of last year.

None of the interested parties was able to comment under the rules governing the board’s investigations.
