Ken Livingstone MP tabled a Common's motion on Friday criticising the actions of Brent LBC's Chief Executive, Charles Wood, in allegedly campaigning against hostile local press.

The motion claims papers in the North West London Newspaper Group 'were publishing too many stories against the council' causing the Conservative controlled Brent council to warn the papers that 'council officers are being advised to review each department's placements of adverts'.

Mr Livingstone asked why the action had not been reported to any council committee or opposition group leaders notified.
