Birmingham city planners have said they are delaying a planned start on compulsory purchasing land for the £500 million Bullring redevelopment in the city, the Birmingham Post reports (p5).

The Post reports on an article in trade magazine Estate Times in which a city analyst said that there would be delays because in the current climate banks would not want to invest in such a big scheme.
