The people of Cambridgeshire should decide whether they want to be part of the Cambridge-based or Peterborough-based authority if the county council's prposals to set up two unitary authorities are accepted by the Local Government Commission next year.

That was the view of Cambridgeshire today with chief executive Gordon Lister saying the county would like to hear from people about their preferences.
