Attempts to reach an out of court settlement between Camden LBC and deputy chief executive Amanda Kelly over her sex discrimination and victimisation action have collapsed.

Councillors met last week to discuss an offer to Ms Kelly (LGC, 29 May). But LGC understands she rejected an offer of£80,000, around one year's salary.

The industrial tribunal hearing the case consequently resumed on Monday, with chief executive Steve Bundred giving evidence in defence of the accusations against him and the council.

He claimed this week that Ms Kelly had been aggressive towards colleagues.

The time allocated for the tribunal expires today. It is possible it may be adjourned until later in the year.
