What advice would you give to someone setting out in local government?

If you love a challenge and you're not afraid of change, come work for local government and fill your boots.

What would your department mascot be?

A bull whip and a little bit of carrot does a lot to improve performance.

What will your next 'me' purchase be?

A paddle for my new passion - sea kayaking - and a good piece of foam so I can stay in the seat all day.

Name that tune to sum up your local government experience?

Happy talking by Captain Sensible.

What is the worst mistake you have made and what did you learn?

Listening to my husband as we lay in our bivvie bags in a raging electrical and snowstorm below the summit of Mont Blanc. He said we'd carried the gear all that

way and we were going to use it. I have learned that if your heart, mind

and body tell you it's not right, you'd better believe it.

Which three words would your colleagues use to describe you?

Feisty, energetic and challenging.

What is the most exciting thing you have ever done?

A parachute jump with my mate Suzanne - we were absolutely buzzing until we landed our jump in a field full of cabbages!

What maxim do you use to see you through the tough times?

It's a mean old scene.

Who would you like to give an ASBO to?

Peter Stringfellow - nobody his age and with that amount of wrinkles should be seen parading around in a G-string - very anti-social.
