Cattermole takes temporary Bristol position

  • Comment

Bristol City Council has appointed Isobel Cattermole to the temporary post of interim strategic director for children, young people and skills while it works out to restructure its leadership team.

Ms Cattermole joins the authority after 16 years at Tower Hamlets LBC, most recently as its director of education, social care and wellbeing. She takes over from Annie Hudson who has become chief executive of the National College of Social Work.

City director Nicola Yates said Ms Cattermole would be expected to build on the “success of the department in improving exam results, protecting children and responding to emerging issues for our rapidly growing population of young people and families”.

She started her new post last week.
