A charity intervened yesterday to ease financial pressure on three state schools in a Cambridgeshire village, The Times reports (p7).

Huntingdon's charity, a trust founded in the 16th century to help Sawston, donated £70,000 to help children with special needs. Each school in the village will receive £7,700 a year for the next three years, the paper reports.
