Dorian Leatham, chief executive of Hillingdon LBC, is to leave the council.

Mr Leatham said: 'I am of course sad to be leaving Hillingdon, but after eight years as chief executive, I feel it is time for me to take on new challenges.'

He added: 'I would like to thank the many outstanding and committed staff who have helped improve the services we deliver for local residents.'

During his time in the borough, the council improved its performance and its ability to provide high quality cost-effective services to the people of Hillingdon.

Council leader Ray Puddifoot said: 'I would like to thank Dorian for all that he has achieved in his time here and wish him well for the future.'

Hugh Dunnachie, director of social services and housing will be acting chief executive.
