The Guardian reports (p6) how Liverpool City Council are to be taken to the High Court by the Commission for Racial Equality for failing to comply with its order to end discrimination in housing allocation.

A confidential letter to Liverpool's Labour leader, Harry Rimmer from the Commission's acting Chief Executive, Sukhdev Sharma, said the council had repeatedly failed to obey the commission's demands to reform its housing policy and introduce proper ethnic monitoring, the paper reports.
