Norfolk CC will be reprieved by the Local Government Commission when they publish their final recommendations, according to a report on BBC television's Look East programme.

BBC local government correspondent David Martin said that 'a source very close to the Local Government Commission' had told him there would be no change in the county. The commission had earlier recommended four unitary authorities.

Mr Martin added that he believed the knock-on effect would be recommendations for no change in Suffolk and Northamptonshire.
