Planning authorities should consider community councils when dealing with wind farm applications says the Wales Association of Community and Town Councils, reports the Western Mail (P8).

In a letter to the paper, Treasurer, Mr Millward, attacks the effect wind farms have on local communities 'in terms of visual amenity and noise pollution'.

'In consultation with the community councils and county planning authorities all commercial developers should establish community funds for local economic and social development,' wrote Mr Millward.
