In a feature on the Unison merger in LGC on 14 June we said Unison had debts of £30 million in its first 18 months. We accept this was untrue and apologise to Unison

We also stated that Unison inherited 18,000 staff from its three constituent unions - that figure should have been 1,800. Further, we stated Rodney Bickerstaffe took over as general secretary from Alan Jinkinson last year. Mr Bickerstaffe in fact took over at the end of February this year.
