The announcement today by Malcolm Chisholm that the government is to introduce a package of measures to deal with the problems of anti-social behaviour in housing in Scotland has been welcomed by COSLA.

Commenting on the announcement, which took place at a COSLA conference

on Homelessness, COSLA's housing spokesman Michael McGlynn said: 'We are pleased that today's announcement by the minister offers Scotland's councils a number of options to deal with the problem of anti-social behaviour.

'We now look forward to arranging a meeting with the minister in the not to distant future to discuss, in detail, the application of the measures announced today.'
