Members of Carmarthen DC's licensing committee have accepted an invitation from a religious community in the Welsh district which claims to be the subject of an 'unreasoned and unfounded' campaign of opposition, reports the Western Mail (p7).

The Community of the Many Names of God at Skanda Vale, Llanpumpsaint, Dyfed, which runs the Vale Hospice Continuing Care Service, has been surrounded by controversy for two years over an allegation that a dying man was pressed into making a substantial bequest.
