Planning Aid Wales (PAW), in conjunction with the Wales Association of Community and Town Councils, have produced a concise handbook to guide community and town councils through the planning process.

The handbook, produced in both English and Welsh, provides a quick and easy to read reference on a wide range of planning issues such as commenting on planning applications and getting involved in the preparation of plans

Commenting on the value of the handbook, Doug Touhig MP, parliamentary under secretary state for Wales said: 'It is important that local views are taken into account by planning authorities, including those of community and town councils. The handbook is an innovative approach to assisting community and town councils to participate in planning matters, and one that I welcome.'
