Welsh Office minister Peter Hain spells out his strategy for a healthy economy on the day of the publication of his report 'An Economic Strategy for Wales' in a self written opinion piece in the Western Mail (p10).

In the article he says: 'In the New Year the Welsh Office will publish an action plan on economic develpment in Wales. I want this to reflect the thinking of everyone concerned: employers, employees, local authorities, trade unions and the unemployed . . . Partnership and inclusivity are the keys to the way ahead.'
