Hampshire CC has decided to keep its £360m pension fund invested with the collapsed Barings Bank, reports the Portsmouth News.
Some £15m of council money was frozen when Barings fell although the money has been released after the bank was taken over by Dutch bank ING.
Hampshire's personnel committee said Barings had an excellent record and now there was added security provided by ING.
It decided to review the management of the council's £1bn pension fund. The rest of the fund is managed by Schroders and Gartmore.
