Ofsted has today published its contribution to the Comprehensive

Performance Assessment (CPA) of local authorities, which has been led

by the Audit Commission.

All 150 of England's local authorities have received their CPA

scorecards detailing the performance of a range of services,

including their education service. The education scorecards for local

education authorities (LEAs), which combine Ofsted inspection

judgements, and performance indicators, are published on Ofsted's

website on each LEA homepage.

CPA assessments bring together for the first time a wide range of

performance information to deliver an overall judgement on each local

authority. The CPA is led by the Audit Commission working with a

number of other inspectorates.

* To find an education scorecard for an LEA, go to the Reports

section and find the LEA using either the maps or the A-Z list. The

scorecard is listed below the Ofsted LEA inspection report on each

LEA homepage. The CPA scorecards for individual local authorities can

be found here.
