The Financial Times (March 27, p8) reported that the government announced waivers to allow the public greater access to its publications, while retaining the Crown copyright.
The waivers will scrap the time-consuming licensing process that requires publishers, libraries, researchers and teachers to obtain permission each time they want to copy a paper.
