14 schoolchildren were injured yesterday, one seriously, when a minibus from Ashburton high school in Croydon LBC was involved in a six vehicle pile up, the Guardian reports (p3).

The paper says that a Croydon spokeswoman said the vehicle had forward facing seats all with seat belts unlike the minibus involved in the M40 minibus tragedy last week.

The accident is also reported in tthe Daily Telegraph (p2) which says that all 15 schoolboys survived so strengthening the case for seatbelts requirements.
