The Commission for Social Care Inspection is recruiting for six director-level posts in this week's LGC.

A business director of strategy is being sought to liaise with Parliament, handle strategic relationships with government departments and develop a business plan.

The CSCI also wants a business director for quality, performance and methods to lead on the development and implementation of working methodology and quality standards.

Other posts include a business director for information and knowledge management who will make a 'pivotal contribution to assessment through co-ordination, interpretation and analysis of information and data', and a business director of communications to direct and motivate teams, act as an external face, and handle internal communications.

A business director of inspection, regulation and review and a business director of corporate services are also being recruited, along with a head of people development.

The CSCI will be a single inspectorate for social care, encompassing the work of the Social Services Inspectorate, the joint review team of the SSI/Audit Commission, and the functions of the National Care Standards Commission in relation to social care.
