Due to popular demand, the venue for COSLA's telecommunications masts

conference next Wednesday has been changed.

COSLA's one-day conference, which brings together a wide range of interested parties from the Scottish Executive, mobile phone operators, local authority planners as well as environmentalists and health specialists, will now take place in the Stakis Grosvenor Hotel, Grosvenor Street, Edinburgh and not COSLA's Offices in Haymarket Terrace.

The conference, entitled 'Telecommunications masts - sending the right signals' will focus on current key issues in relation to telecommunications masts, including the question of health risks of electro-magnetic fields and whether or not the legislation governing the installation of masts should be changed.

NOTE

COSLA's conference 'Telecommunications masts - sending the right signals' will now take place in the Stakis Grosvenor Hotel, Grosvenor Street, Edinburgh on Wednesday 24 November, 1999 at 10.30 a.m.
