The Western Mail (p5) reports that county councillors in Denbighshire CC have pledged to fight plans to close magistrates courts at Corwen and Llangollen.

Denbighshire CC director of central services Robert Williams said: 'If proposals to close the Corwen and Llangollen courts were implemented it would not only deprive local people of that facility but would impose significant burdens upon the public in terms of time and travelling costs.'
