Doncaster MBC's policy committee has supported 31 recommendations by an in-house inquiry team following recent criminal behaviour and misconduct revelations.

The team's report, Agenda for change, identifies values for the authority to uphold. Council leader Malcolm Glover said: 'There has been a growing recognition of the need to make positive changes. This agenda has set out an overall vision of how the borough and the authority can develop.'

It identifies 'core values to guide the future operation of the council', which include 'high quality services, caring for communities, families and individuals and open and accountable government'.
