Dudley MBC has been granted a liability order by Stourbridge magistrates after a protesting businessman withheld his £329 business rates, reports The Birmingham Post (p3).

The businessman objected to a council-owned swimming pool and leisure centre being given a similar name to his companies.

He claimed that the Crystal Leisure Centre complex was confused with his firms named Christaleisure and Christal Pools, the paper reports.
