Liverpool City Council has launched a website to help pupils find work experience.
The website allows students to obtain details about placements, from the chief executive's office to parks and gardens.
The council's work experience programme has places for nearly 1,000 students.
Chair of the lifelong learning select committee Richard Marbrow (Lib Dem) said:
'We have increased the number of placements to almost 1,000. We are committed to quality and this new website will help pupils see the opportunities.'
