Edinburgh councillors are considering a partnership with a charity, Cancer Awareness in Scotland (CAIS) which wants to encourage restaurant and cafe owners to reduce smoking on their premises.

The Glasgow Herald (p4) reports that a report before councillors says that a successful liaison with CAIS could lead to a Scottish-wide initiative to reduce smoking.
