The Daily Telegraph (p1) reports that Mr Brundle was arrested and held for six hours in police cells after he tried to restrain his 15-year-old daughter in order to stop her going out with 'undesirable friends'. He was later released on police bail.
After being put in the care of social services, Georgina Brundle was offered a fostering place, but chose to return to the family home.
Mr Brundle said: 'I was outraged that this could happen while she was supposed to be in the care of social services. The fact that she chose to return home shows that I am not a brutal father.
Last night all charged against Mr Brundle had been dropped after a request to police from Georgina.
