The Liberal Democrat campaign in a Hackney LBC ward at the centre of an electoral fraud trial 'was the least sophisticated you could get for an election', a jury has heard.
Ian Sharer, one of the councillors charged, said that if proxy vote applications dropped into his house during the campaign did not include the name of a proxy voter he would try 'to find somebody to vote on their behalf'. The case continues.
