Local government minister David Curry will be quizzed by the House of Commons environment committee on the environment about Standard Spending Assessments on Wednesday, 8 December.

The following Tuesday, 14 December, the committee will hear from the Association of County Councils, the Association of District Councils and the Association of Metropolitan Authorities.

Tony Travers from the LSE and Bob Chilton from the Audit Commission will address the committee on Wednesday, 15 December.

The committee is holding an oral evidence from two groups on recyling on Wednesday, 15 December.
